Back to the breakfast sandwich journey through my hood and beyond. Though really, we all know this is just an excuse for me to eat more bacon!

A new barbecue place opens in San Francisco, what do you think I'm gonna do? Well, I won't be the first one there but I did give them a try as soon as I could. And then went back again because they had many meats.
China is done, or I'm done with China and particularly the food. We are back in SF recovering from jet lag. There is no food in the house and we don't feel like going out, so what are we gonna do? Duh, we order pizza people! It's been nearly a month without it! WE NEED IT!
It's my last shot across the bow at food from China. While we didn't feel quite adventurous enough to try stuffed oysters cooked by a street vendor, I did manage to come across a few things I liked. Thus I'm finishing up my tour with a couple things I thought were tasty, or maybe I was just desperate, whatever.
I'm tossing out some odds and ends we came across in our journey across China. Some highs, some (very) lows and several things in between.
Going local in Hong Kong on a side street at a restaurant who's name we haven't got a clue about. It's what you call taking a foodie chance in a foreign country.
Donuts, donuts, donuts. Well all know I have a thing for them and I'm gonna try most any one I come across regardless of where I'm at. And sometimes, I get more than I bargained for.
The strangest places sometimes produce the most interesting things when you least expect it.
One post of suckiness and another post of not so bad sweets on my slog through China.
It all appears pretty, but looks are deceiving! Relax, I'm here to help you not get fooled again!
Last time I tried Feastly, I wasn't all that impressed with the experience, or food, me and the SO had. I said I would wait some time before trying them again, hoping they would work out some of the kinks of the system. Well, that time has come around and we are back on the pop-up dinner menu.
This week I had no trouble finding food inspiration as I hit up an old haunt I hadn't been to in awhile, Cafe Madeleine. And this time, the cookie is totally useful, or at least tasty.
I'm venturing into the "what's a good bagel in San Francisco" fray. Do I even know a good one from a bad one?
The street food park in SOMA seems to be having a special event leading me and the SO around the corner to Cat's Head BBQ. It's been awhile since we've been by and I'm wondering how they are serving it up these days.
Food news and totally useless cookie, or two, review because it's all I got right now.
If you can put fried chicken with a waffle then why not on a biscuit? The egg makes if more breakfasty, I think.
When it's good pizza, it's really good. When it's bad pizza, it's still pretty good--usually.
Sit back and enjoy a chocolate chip cookie while reliving food news from the past week. A good way to pass a rainy weekend.
Finally getting to the meat of this review. Plus, added bonus, they want to lecture me about pork belly. I think we all know how this is going to go.
